Glendora Kiwanis Club presents a check for
$ 1,000.00 to the EYE-DAS Foundation

A check for $1,000 representing an annual donation from Glendora Kiwanis was presented at a
recent meeting by President Daryl Overlock to EYE-DAS Foundation.  Accepting were foundation board members
and founders Ida Fracasse and her husband Joe. In 1975 Ida realized there was a need to help those
with sight problems become aware of the types of equipment and treatments that was available.
Their foundation now has clubs in Glendora, West Covina, and Arcadia, with over 250 individuals
being served throughout the East San Gabriel Valley. Each month there are meetings that allow
members a time to exchange information, have contact with others that can relate to their
challenges and learn about new technology that may help them. It offers an opportunity,
through a social gathering, to help those facing visual problems become informed and more independent.
